		<description>Yeap, I agree with you, in the grand-scheme of things, it does help society (e.g. economy). What I was trying to convey was if an individual (whom I don&#039;t know) goes to some random bar - I see no personal gain from it whatsoever. However, if individuals all collectively go to a bar, that could help economy, and therefore would help me at the end.

All 3 of those activities have a greater potential to benefit society in addition to you.  For single player shootemups that&#039;s not the case necessarily.  MMOG&#039;s are a different beast however that certainly share characteristics with other social recreations.  Any social recreational activity can enrich a society by reaffirming social bonds or creating new ones.

Also, don&#039;t give short shrift to the turn based strategy and simulation games.  The education value in the genre subject matter as well as learning complex decision making are invaluable aspects of those games.</description>
